The above selection does not entail that no other fields of scientific excellence can be found within TU Delft and Erasmus MC. On the contrary: highly respected scientists are also active in such fields as Sustainable Building, Aerospace, Industrial Design Engineering and Aero and Hydrodynamics. These disciplines will receive attention in the general marketing and acquisition policy, but the focus will be placed on the two selected clusters. Important reasons for this are that these sectors are particularly suited to achieving the Netherlands’ national economic policy priorities while also offering the best opportunities for attracting (foreign) companies.
